Modularity of rigid Calabi-Yau threefolds over Q

Abstract

We prove modularity for a huge class of rigid Calabi-Yau threefolds over $\Q$. In particular we prove that every rigid Calabi-Yau threefold with good reduction at 3 and 7 is modular.
