On bounded and unbounded idempotents whose sum is a multiple of the identity

Abstract

We study bounded and unbounded representations of the $*$-algebra $Q_{n,λ}(*)$ generated by $n$ idempotents whose sum equals $λe$ ($λ\in{\mathbb C}$, $e$ is the identity).
