Partial-wave analysis of $\vec{p}\vec{p}\to ppπ^\circ$ data

Abstract

We present a partial-wave analysis of the polarization data for the reaction $\vec{p}\vec{p}\to ppπ^\circ$, based solely on the recent measurements at IUCF for this channel. The fit leads to a $χ^2$ per degree of freedom of 1.7. Methods for an improved analysis are discussed. We compare the extracted values to those from a meson exchange model.
