Cylindrically Symmetric, Static, Perfect-Fluid Solutions of Einstein's Field Equations

Abstract
Perfect-fluid, static, cylindrically symmetric solutions of Einstein's field equations are obtained for the equations of state $Ï+3p=0$ and $Ï=p$. In the former case, the density and the pressure turn out to be constant while in the later case, they depend on the radial parameter $r$. Evan's solution corresponding to the equation of state $Ï=p$ is included in the solutions discussed here.
