Tensors for tending to tensions in $ Ï$ decays

Abstract
We propose a manifestly gauge invariant effective tensor operator that can account for the $ CP $ asymmetry anomaly in $ Ï$ decays, contrary to the claim made in literature. Additionally, this operator can also help in resolving the long-standing discrepancy in the value of $ V_{us} $ extracted from inclusive $ Ï$ decays. By construction, the operator evades bounds from neutron electric dipole moment, while keeping the extraction of $ V_{us} $ from exclusive $ Ï$ decays unaffected. We explicitly provide a renormalizable model of flavor symmetries that yields the desired effective tensor operator.
