Accessing unpolarized and linearly polarized gluon TMDs through quarkonium production

Abstract
We present the study of accessing unpolarized and linearly polarized gluon TMDs in J/Ï and Î¥(1S) production in unpolarized proton-proton collision at LHC, RHIC and AFTER energies. Non- relativistic QCD based color octet model (COM) is used for estimating quarkonium production rates within transverse momentum dependent factorization formalism. A comparison is drawn between the experimental data and the transverse momentum distribution of quarkonium obtained in COM and color evaporation model.
